Buying a Beyond Believer NFT
Hey, if you're totally new to the space and want to mint your first NFT — this is your guide! It's easy once you know what to do.
Before you begin
It's best to be working on your desktop/laptop computer for this process. While it's totally possible to do it from mobile, the mobile tools are still a little bit bumpy, and it might be confusing or troublesome. For the first time, we recommend not using mobile.
Get a wallet
The most common Ethereum wallet used today is definitely MetaMask. It's a browser extension that you can install easily, create a wallet, and manage everything directly.
You can download the extension at https://metamask.io , and there is a detailed guide to getting started on their official support page here . It's best to follow their official guidance!
Get some Ethereum into your wallet
You can buy Ethereum directly from MetaMask, buy hitting the "buy" button in the main browser extension window. This is probably the easiest if you're new to the space.
Another common method is to buy using a large exchange like Coinbase, and transfer the funds to your wallet. Here's a getting started guide for Coinbase: https://www.coinbase.com/buy-ethereum
Important: make sure you have enough Ethereum in your wallet to cover any gas fees on top of what you want to buy.
How much? We've done our very best to reduce these fees as much as possible, but it can sometimes reach $50 or more. Hint: off-peak times are usually better, such as the morning time in Europe, when Americans are sleeping.
Mint the NFT
Once you have Ethereum in your wallet, head to https://beyond.so/lifetime and hit the Mint button! You'll be prompted by MetaMask to review and approve a transaction. Once you approve, it can take about a minute to finish minting. Then you'll be the proud owner of a Beyond Lifetime Access Pass!
